Front Porch
the nets have proved a bit difficult to setup, but successful with some careful work. I certainly would not recommend this route for someone that is not good with knot work. Starboard is strung and port is about 1/2 done at this stage.
Hi man! It’s nice to meet soul mate here. On my cat I decided to build the lip all way around trampoline area to close the gap. http://flipflopscat.blogspot.ca/2013/06/more-progress.html I’ll also use Dyneema or other rope instead of PVC pipes to make it less bulky. Regards, -SP
The white rod is solid fiberglass. PVC would not work unless fairly large diameter and I think the lashing would tear into it. Maybe not, but PVC also degrades quickly.
you want to be very very careful nets dont break, one of the prime ways to lose someone overboard, usually at night in bad weather.. people died like this, so its serious, multihull nets.

ReplyDeleteWe used black spectra fishing net, about the same weave as yours, but enormously strong and UV resistant, and cheap here in Hong Kong.
