Its been nearly 2 years since I had seen this work top cleaned off and it took me the better part of the morning to clear it off and organize all the misc screws and small parts scattered amongst tools and junk. Didn't last long as I needed the flat surface to glue up my foam and 1/8" ply for the refrigerator/ freezer box.
The box will go against the outboard hull forward of the stove. I have some vacuum panels as well for the 2 largest sides which will allow a sufficient "R" value in the narrow space. This is not the ideal location, but under the bunk didn't seem practical on a family cruising boat and on the sink countertop would have required front opening doors not top opening. Overall I think it will work pretty well especially with the custom made plates coming from Nova Kool.
